What’s The New Story, Wishbone? Classic PBS Series Getting A Movie Reboot
When I was a kid, I watched a lot of PBS shows. This was partly because we didn’t have cable at the time. The other part was that I felt it counted as learning if I watched a lot of shows that were educational. While I didn’t become a scientist, I did learn how a dog could improve classic literature. All it took was some funny narration and pathos to get us into the zone.
The Nerdist reported that one PBS show, Wishbone, is getting a feature film reboot. How this is going to happen, I’m not sure since the dog used in the show sadly passed on in 2001 (RIP Soccer the Jack Russell Terrier) and most of the cast has grown up and moved on. With that said, I hope they can pull it off because this franchise is near and dear to my heart. There is nothing like a good book, especially when you have a snarky narrator on four legs.
