I'm not judging anyone for continuing to read Coraline, watch it or browse Sandman or other works by Neil. The separation between the art and the artist is a personal choice and a complicated one, especially when books save you.

This post is about me starting to process my feelings about this news. And it's more questioning who I am after wanting to write similar stories to what Neil wrote, what is my role in the SFF community no matter how big or small if I say nothing. I'm not going to judge anyone who needs to reevaluate the relationship with Neil's works because that's what I'm doing.
