When you hear a musical about social media, about twenty years before social media became a new addition to our lives, you sit up straight. Jonathan Larson wrote that musical and spent eight years trying to sell it to show producers, as well as Broadway. He called it Superbia, a love letter to the novel 1984, to express fear about how we would let computers run our lives.
